Concerts in Rome July 2014
Rome is proving to be one of the most important capitals on the international music scene: in fact, The Rolling Stones chose Rome’s Circus Maximus Massimo as a date in their Italian tour last June and the famous Rock in Rome event this year will be hosting artists of international fame.
Accompanying these events, is a list of important concerts to be held at the capital’s most famous locations, where artists and groups from the Italian and international music scene have always been hosted.
To begin with, there is the Hard Rock Live in Rome at Piazza del Popolo next 12 July, which will be hosting artists from all over Europe, such as The Fratellis, Velvet, Jack Jaselli, Ben Montague, Joyfield and Negramaro in a special concert organized for the occasion.
Then, on 11 July, at the Olympic Stadium, the much awaited concert of the Moda’ will take place. This is one of the most highly acclaimed Italian bands of the moment. The concert is finally coming to Italy after a long international tour in cities like Paris, Brussels, London, Amsterdam and New York.
On 14 July, at the Foro Italico, we will be able to see Franco Battiato and the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini in concert.Also at the Foro Italico, on 20 July, the concert of Alessandro Mannarino will take place, while on 21 July it will be the turn of Elio e le Storie Tese, followedon 23July by Alex Britti and on 26 July by Gigi D’Alessio.
Auditorium Parco Della Musica will be the location for the following concerts: Asaf Avidan on 10 July, Keith Jarretton 11 July, Damon Albarn on 15 July, Pino Daniele on 18 July, Giorgia on 19 July, James Blunt on 21 July and Simple Minds on 27 July with their Greatest Hits Tour. On 28 July, it will be the turn of Loredana Bertè and on 31 July that of Roberto Vecchioni.
A similar number of famous Italian and international artists will be participating at the Eutropia L’Altra Città – Roma Incontra il Mondo 2014 event, like the Baustelle on 7 July, Goran Bregović on 15 July, Sud Sound System on 16 July, Incognito on 22 July, Petra Magoni and Ferruccio Spinetti on 25 July and Vinicio Capossela e la Banda della Posta on 26 July; in addition to these, on 28 July you can see Tiromancino, while on 31 July the Marlene Kuntzconcertwill take place.
The billboard for Eutropia L’Altra Città continues on into August with the concert of Frankie Hi-nrg MC on the 1st of the month and Giuliano Palma in concert on 5 September.
The endless list of concerts, bringing an exciting, music-filled month of July, will make it possible for everyone to discover Rome also from an artistic and cultural point of view. The concert locations make it easy to reach the most important sites of historical interest without too much effort.
